I built this reddish blonde mermaid with shells for her bikini, out of two gourds put together with wire and foam. She holds a little shell and wears a freshwater pearl necklace. She's about 7" from the bottom of her base to the top of her head. She weighs about 5 oz. I've been working this method for about 30 years. It's truly a labor of love. Gourd sculpture is only for indoor use.
