This Hermès Avalon Blanket was a gorgeous regular size wool & cashmere blanket that I got for my son years ago. The colors are the same, cream and light blue on the greenish side. The thing is my housekeeper put in the washer and washed it! The horror of horrors it came up all clean and no damage except that it shrunk down to this size: 29” x 33”. Now it’s like felt too. I think it would be a beautiful pet blanket. I think you can even use it on a horse under the saddle. It can be made into two cushions too, come to think of it. halllleeb Interested in this as a baby blanket on display in my sons nursery. Your captions all seem very trusting. Do you think it's too small for nursery?

glomedusa @halllleeb Hi, thank you, I am always very honest. So, about having it in the nursery, it is thick and stiff, so I don’t think you would really use it as a blanket per se, but more for decorative purposes. It could be like a bed cover but not an actually blanket you would cover your baby. You could have it as a throw on an armchair perhaps? Or as your baby gets old something to keep in the floor to play on maybe? I am sorry I can’t be more of help in describing :)

glomedusa @lexilipinski Good morning, sorry I’m a bit late in answering.. We’ll, I wouldn’t say it is hard to the touch. I mean, it isn’t like the green part of Scotch Brite, it has a nice touch. But it is thick, it doesn’t fold softly like a blanket, it is dense. I don’t know if this helps..

glomedusa @lexilipinski If somehow the fibers can be loosened, maybe it will not be so dense and thick. I watched some videos about how to un-shrink wool sweaters, etc by soaking them in baby shampoo but I didn’t dare to do it..

glomedusa @lexilipinski You are right in questioning the color. iPhone doesn’t depict the true color so I uploaded some new photos with other items. I they help. I would say rather than a true baby blue it is more of light blue with a green hue
