When you measured the coat for the pit to pit measurement, did you measure it across the back, seam to seam? 27" seems really wide. Also, what is the location of the hole? Is it on the very edge of the cuff that it is rolled, making the hole about 3" above the bottom edge, or the bottom edge of the cuff (part of the fold)? Sorry, I don't really know how to ask this question. Thanks for your patience.

The pit to pit was measured across the back. There is no size tag and the measurements matched closest to an 18. The coat is very flowy and has a back pleat that starts at the shoulder blades. The measurements were taken with the pleat closed. The hole is located at the fold and not easily noticed. As this coat is vintage, I specifically looked for issues and this was all I noticed.
