Vans UltraRange EXO Hi MTE-2 Shoes. Activity-inspired and adventure-based, the Checkerboard UltraRange EXO Hi MTE-2 offers new levels of day-to-day versatility in the form of a HydroGuard 360o waterproof package, a Primaloft insulation package, and an All-Trac MTE-2 outsole. The UltraRange is built to get you there, and the upgraded MTE-2 version compels you to both get there and do stuff. It is made with suede, textile, and synthetic uppers featuring our iconic checkerboard print. The MTE™-2 HydroGuard™ 360o package is watertight and stretchable, which results in comfortable, breathable waterproof technology. The zonal MTE™-2 Primaloft® insulation package uses a high-quality microfiber thermal insulation system to mimic the warmth-providing properties of down, keeping you warm without retaining internal moisture. The All-Trac MTE™-2 outsole offers a rubber compound that provides flexible underfoot lugs to bend with terrain changes, creating more surface area and better variable adaptability. Our UltraRange EXO MTE™-2 comfort package uses a single-density OrthoLite® sockliner and UltraCush™ EVA midsole for enhanced comfort and reduced weight, while also supporting a drier, healthier environment inside your shoe. When impact and compression resistance is needed, a TPU molded toe cap is the solution. In addition to adding a little extra space in the toe box, these modeled components offer higher-level abrasion safeguarding and overall protection.

Hi! Have you hiked in these? If so, how are they? Thanks.

@heidialisha I have. Actually took them to Iceland. They were great, just a half size too small for me unfortunately.

@kmj5ff oh awesome! Floridian here but we go out west to hike - I'll be in CO, UT & AZ in November so want something warm but with really good traction for hikes. What's your usually size? I'm always between 8 - 8.5 so always a tough call. Thanks!

@heidialisha these are warm with great traction! I have wide feet, so it was more a width issue than a length issue. Otherwise I think they fit as expected. I don’t even think they are narrow, I just should have found a wide boot. :)

@kmj5ff got ya! I'm usually an 8 but typically size up for hiking (swelling, thick socks, etc). Just don't want them so big that they slide. I have wider feet as well but did read on the website the MTE-2 version has a wider toe box, which I love. Last question - with them being white, how did they hold up to stains? They look great from here!
