This vintage brass Certina watch box comes in a beautiful gold toned color with a carved design featuring antelopes in the wild. The internal velvet material adds a touch of elegance to the piece and the inside bears the proud name of "Certina" with the E and the A on the inside of the lid is supplemented with "Elegant and Accurate." Underneath that is "Illinois Watch Case Co." At the beginning of the 1950s, there was a collaboration between Certina and the Illinois Watch Case Company. The Illinois Watch Case Company from Elgin, Illinois (IWCCo) was an important manufacturer of watch cases, while "Certina Watch Corporation of America", based in New York, was founded at the end of the 1940s as a watch manufacturer.
