Beautiful Russian hand painted lacquer box depicting Snow Maiden. This lacquer box was handmade from papier mache and hand painted by oil & tempera paints. It has a multi-layer lacquer finish and is hinged. You can use it for trinkets or jewelry. Good vintage condition with some surface wear marks on the bottom and what appears to be a raised area on the front only visible under a certain angle.
