Vintage Gold Mesh Whiting and Davis Purse

This purse is stunning! I believe it is from the 1960s, possibly 1950s. It is made by Whiting and Davis. The name is on the tag and also stamped on the metal closures. It features a kiss closure at the top and gold mesh as the outer shell. The lining is sewn to the metal uppers, and some of the stitching is coming undone (see last photos). This is an easy repair for someone looking to use this purse on the regular. The only other flaw is that one mesh link has come undone from a neighbor. This doesn't threaten the integrity of the purse and also looks like an easy fix. In all, this little clutch is an absolute gem! It measures approx 7 inches across the widest part, and six inches from the bottom to the top of the kiss clasp. The chain measures approx 5.5 inches. Vintage. Retro. Gold. Mesh. 1960s. 1950s.
