This dress was featured in Vogue magazine in 1969, modeled by the beautiful Charlene Dash. She was one of the first black supermodels in the United States.
The Vogue photographer is Gianni Penati.
The designer, Mollie Parnis, was one of the first female fashion designers in the US to have her own label. She is best known for designing clothing worn by many First Ladies & the uniform of the Cadet Nurse Corps in World War II.
This dress also has a tag from the high end New York boutique, Mabel Dahany, where it was sold originally. The boutique was founded by two sisters in the 1920s & was open for nearly 100 years !
This is an exceptional, exquisite dress worthy of a museum.
