I'm not sure what went on with this dress but it looks to me like the skirt was made smaller in the front more flat. It remains full in the back so it could have been restyled possibly right around 1880 or even in the 1910 era.
It's missing quite a few fasteners in the bodice. The belt doesn't seem to fasten. I'm not sure what these trailing ribbons are from the shoulders in the back maybe this was part of the restyle. The buttons have fabric that has worn off.There are some holes scattered around most noticeably the bodice back area. Each trailing ribbon in the back has a tear. There's an antique smell.
