I got these for a costume party. I wore them once. I don't intend to wear these again, its a lot of work to lace these up. You'll feel like a certified boss though wearing these. If your short you won't be able to lace them up all the way cause you won't beable to bend your knees, so you gotta do like a casual loosy goosy lace up. I think your atleast 5'9" you can lace them up all the way.
