laurie_annie @einnj it measures 56" from the highest curve of the neckline to the floor. I am 5'6" and I had 5" on the tape measure when I measured myself, so I'd need 5" heals. they cut the gowns long, so many girls are taller now!

einnj @laurie_annie length is good for me. may be a bit small at bust and waist based on measurements you've posted. wondering if I could have some of the hem cut and used to add some room at bust and waist. Thinking about it.

laurie_annie @einnj you have all that train, a good seamstress can shorten the train and use that fabric if needed. there should still be a small train left even afterthe pieces are cut, or you can have it hemmed to the floor and eliminate the train and have plenty of fabric. The pattern will easily blend and hide any pieces you add to the sides.

laurie_annie also, if it is just your bust and waist, a seamstress could put in a corset back in with a tie matching any of the colors in the gown. just make an offer if you decide you want it.

einnj Still thinking about this dress. The seamstress I worked with to alter a gown two years ago says she can probably handle but it will be costly. What type of discount might you offer? Can you send me a private offer through Poshmark?

laurie_annie @einnj more advice, lol, seamstress can make a panel to put behind the laces and hide the bra. Also a wider strap (1") and attaching the loops sewn close together so then the lace up will almost completely cover your bra. I'm just telling you, so u know, whether you buy it or not, even for future reference!!
