Extremely rare vintage red Hello Kitty padded puffy pop-up pencil case from Sanrio, copyright 1993. Illustrations feature Hello Kitty and adorable little bears in various brightly colored preppy outfits. I have only seen a few of these ever offered for sale online. This was mine as a child, and I was very careful with my toys. :D I believe everything that came with the case is included, though the smaller pencils and post-it flags may have been from a different set since those copyright dates are older. All of the buttons work! They open different compartments of the pencil case - pencil sharpener, thermometer, magnifying glass, storage drawer with sticky notes / flags, pencil storage pop-up, and eraser drawer. Dimensions: About 9.5" x 3.5" x 1.25" Condition notes: - Eraser and pencils have been lightly used, and I'm sure a few of the sticky notes were used, but plenty are left! - There was a sticky note flag taped over the name area but the residue has been removed. - I believe I tried to use ballpoint pen on the name area but it didn't work on the glossy surface, so there are imprints from attempting to write and draw on it. Shown in photos. - There are a few indents to the padded puffy cover portion, shown in photos. They are quite hard to notice unless the lighting hits just right. - One patch of the silver leaf designs on the black colored pencil has worn away, but all the others are in good shape.
