-Rare vintage signed Whiting & Davis metallic gold chainmail necklace

Signed, large gold mesh necklace from Iconic Whiting & Davis. The ultimate statement necklace! Established in 1876 they developed manufacturing techniques to create fashion chainmail mesh that is as fluid as fabric and feels smooth, sleek and silky to the touch. It moves with you, reflecting light and color like a necklace of tiny jewels. I bought it in the late 70's and it's been worn some but I'm careful with my things. I've examined it and the mesh is in like new condition. No damage or discoloration that I can find. The only place it shows that it's vintage is that chain and charm the hook fastener hooks to look somewhat tarnished. The name Whiting & Davis is stamped on the spade shaped charm that finishes the chain. Measurements laid flat: 17¾" long from side to side. The sides of the triangle from where the chain is attached to the point in front are 12½" the length down the middle of the triangle is 9" When worn the drop is around 7" - 8½"
