Bischoff Art Glass Wayne Husted Regal Era Mid Century Modern A. F. Bischoff Glass Co. pitcher The piece is heavy thick crackle glass measuring 11½" high and 4 ½" across the top rim. The base has a recessed pontil mark and 14 circumference. holds approximately 2 qts of liquid The piece is in very good condition with no damage, there is pictured contact wear on the foot ring.The piece has a striking modern form typical of the designs done at Bischoff's Culloden, West Virginia factory during the 1960's. Many of Bischoff's early designs were influenced by Wayne Husted's work at Blenko, including this pitcher, a close cousin to Husted's "Regal" line (1961). The cylindrical form is done in Ruby which shows rich color highlighted with a spiral optic. The clear / "Crystal" loop handle has clean attachments, no heat checks or lines.
