Buddhist prayer wheels are a important elements of worship in Tibetan Buddhism, where they are known as "mani wheels". Tibetans believe that by spinning the wheel, the inscribed prayer (mantra) is spread out into the world where it helps to bring about good karma and spread positive energies and effects to the world. Spin the wheel and spread loving kindness throughout the universe. The image at the wheel’s top are the 8 Auspicious Symbols in Buddhism, the wheel exterior has coral and turquoise inlays between the Buddhist mantra ‘Om Mani Padme Hum’, and the wheel underside has a lotus and flower design. The handle is made of dark red wood and the body is some kind of composite so it is light weight. This wheel has been used and well loved and now seeks a new recipient to continue doing its job.
