Marks, dents and scratches to the leather, and wear to the soles. Please see the pictures. Still have a ton of life left, but are far from perfect. These boots have two zippers, one that goes up about half the length of the side and one that is on the back that starts from the top of the boot and does to the middle. I believe these boots can be worn two ways as a result. Wear both zippers zipped and it is a almost to the knee boot, or unzip the top zipper and fold the leather down and it is a mid-calf boot.
