Enjoy a piece of hand-crafted history with a miniature Lane cedar chest! Lane, the premier cedar chest manufacturer headquartered in Altavista, Virginia, went out of business in 2001, so these are no longer available. Each mini chest is unique and was commonly given as gifts to high school seniors at graduation back in the day. This on was made at Gagnon Furniture Company in Salem, Massachusetts. I purchased it from an antique store, added the blue felt, and stored nick nacks in it on my bookshelf for a few years. Now, it's time to refresh my decor and share the love of (adorable) history with others! In great condition. Some nicks and dents in the wood, but it's got a beautiful, rich cedar color and shines with a protective varnish!
