Beautiful antique majolica bowl by Chesapeake Pottery, which created majolica pieces from 1882-1914.
This piece is 110-142 years old.
Pattern name: Clifton (Blackberry), possibly Avalon Faience
Measures approximately 5.5” wide x 3” tall with a 3” wide base
"Majolica production at the Chesapeake Pottery commenced in 1882 with a pattern named Clifton. Featuring blackberries and leaves on an ivory ground, the design is reminiscent of the Wedgwood Argenta Blackberry design." (Majolica Society website)
Wonderful colors and textures. Yellow blossoms with blue and blackberries, leaves in various shades of green and purple, and an olive / army green rim.
