Poshmark has suspended the account associated with a Michigan woman who allegedly stole $823,000 worth of clothing and resold the designer duds on the online secondhand marketplace. Brandalene “Brandy” Horn, 42, was arrested Wednesday over the alleged scheme that netted her more than $750,000 in profit, according to federal prosecutors. She allegedly peddled the stolen clothes from her Poshmark account, where she went by “cashhorn,” between April 2022 and February 2024. On Thursday, Horn’s Poshmark profile was suspended, a company spokesperson confirmed to The Post. Horn allegedly created hundreds of accounts across the three websites, prosecutors said, and after she would receive the clothing, she would refuse to return the items. Horn allegedly sold 1,063 stolen items between April 2022 and February 2024. She was charged with one count of mail fraud, one count of wire fraud and one count of interstate transportation of stolen property, and faces 50 years in prison, if convicted.

hayclan @sarahbeth081 yes.. if they enforce records for anything over 500.. I think it's a good start.. I absolutely know alot of other scammers are scamming, and I won't name names. but I do report anonymously. some of it doesn't make any sense. Not to toot my own horn because I didn't do anything. my ex-husband was a very wealthy man. Even then, I refused to waste his 💰. I have never walked in and bought an LV.

hayclan @sarahbeth081 I had a couple pieces of higher end clothes. but he still refused to waste money on advertising labeled items.. Basicallysaying "Look at me..I bought real leather items before the fake leather started, and it lasts a lifetime.

hayclan @sarahbeth081 there are piles of luxury items in the wrong hands, and you can smell it 10,000 miles away on here. really rich people actually would never carry a logo bag. they think it's tacky. I know this from working at Private Golf Clubs I managed. I think every piece over 500 should have a receipt if you sell more than 10. you could potentially have received 10 gifts in your lifetime

kystars81
kystars81 @hayclan yes thats a great idea. And yes if i see a scammer i will report anonymously as well or sometimes i have even called people out on their bs but i agree with you that anything over 500 after 10 should have a receipt. This story just blows my mind.

cherryposhible @sarahbeth081 I’m thinking there’ll be some restitution. She’s not the first one to pull these scans. There’s been so many. One recent was a scam where they were drop shipping; hundreds of orders a month for a year.: to the tune of one million dollars in orders and they were sending boxes of rocks to people and it took $1 million before they got caught.. because all the returned boxes weren’t opened for a year!
