Vintage 1969 Crocheted Dress Purple Size Small Original

In 1969 I was a cute and petite 13-year old and wanted all the latest fashions. My mother hand-crocheted this gorgeous mini dress for me! It was the peak of style for teens and young women in those wild 60's days. Fashion was changing so fast. Really exciting times. For a while, the old school crochet stuff began a trendy hippie thing. Who knew? She also dyed a cotton slip purple for me to wear underneath. Unfortunately the slip is long gone. But the dress is just as pretty today as it was back then! You could pair this with a bodysuit or a different slip or leotard. I was about 5'2" and wore a size 7 or small. About 110 pounds if I recall. Seems to be an acrylic yarn. still Stretchy and soft. No damage I was unable to open the zipper. The head opening is stretchy enough to pull on without opening the zipper if you're careful. It may be possible to get it open but I don't want to damage it. Approx measurements... Length 32" Bust and hips about 32" unstretched (that's 16" laid flat, doubled) Waist about 30" Notice the elaborate design? My mom was a perfectionist. Scalloped edges, alternating designs, solid shoulders. This dress was a dream. I hope that someone today can enjoy it as I did back then.
