The color is best described as a blue that is between turquoise and cerulean. The insides of the bowls and the underside of the saucers are white. It is made of a fine yet hard ceramic. Although neither the bowls nor saucers are marked, the style, color and production details has the distinct characteristics of the El Patio Nuevo series by Gladding Mcbean Co.. The duo tone glaze of turquoise and white, with white interior and turquoise exterior, was one of three color combinations produced. This pattern was introduced in 1935 and discontinued in 1936.
