1976 Cartier Bicentenary of the Declaration of Independence Enamel Trinket Box

Beautiful and very rare vintage Cartier Bicentenary of the Declaration of Independence enamel trinket box for Bilston and Battersea. This small enameled porcelain trinket box crafted by the famous London enameling firm of Bilston & Battersea and retailed by Cartier features a the beginning statement of the US Constitution in black and white enamel on the lid, with the original seals of the 13 colonies around the side of the box. The interior has the dates 1776-1976 on the bottom, and the Great Seal of the United States on the top. With a gold tone brass accent and white enameled porcelain body. This trinket box shows no major visible surface wear on the enameled porcelain, some tarnishing visible on the gold tone brass and no chips, cracks or serious cosmetic issues. The trinket box will be accompanied with it's original Bilston and Battersea/Cartier box with red velvet lined interior. Measures approximately 2.5" x 1 25".
