It's in very good condition for a very vintage speedy. Purchased in 1980. It has original lock but no key or dust bag. No date code because Louis Vuitton introduced date codes in 1982. Preowned with usual flaws due to age and many years of use. There is rubbing on the leather piping and a small hole on leather handle but it still works fine and is completely attached. There is a mark on one handle, see photos, your purse guy may be able to fix this. Zipper works fine and the zipper pull is intact and not ready to fall off! Bag is still structurally sound. I love the look of this bag, the colour of the vachetta leather is not black at the handles as with many bags, just beautifully aged. If you love the Speedy 25, this mature but completely intact, not-falling-apart bag has aged gracefully and remains sturdy and elegant. (This is not the bag for you if you are very picky, this is a vintage item and thus is not perfect, however, the photos depict the bag very well.
