This listing is for one converter box. New old stock (2008), still in box. See Photos. For older model televisions. This box is dated 2008. This converter box was never used, however, .*THE REMOTE WAS USED AND SHOWS WEAR - ESPECIALLY THE CHANNEL UP/DOWN BUTTONS - PLEASE SEE ALL PHOTOS.* This belonged to my parents - they had two converter boxes and used one box with both remotes, as they controlled the tv with them.
**REMOTE REQUIRES BATTERIES - BATTERIES NOT INCLUDED.** Packaging cardboard box has shelf wear.
(I will be listing the used box with the other remote separately soon as well. If you have any interest in both converter boxes, please let me know.)

@chall6840 Hi! Thank you for your interest in this item. I am selling this item AS IS - The converter box was never used - my parents had 2- this one was a spare however, they used the remote as a second remote for the box they did use.

Your responses weren't visible when I rechecked so I reposted. After I reposted, all your responses appeared. I appreciated the fact that you had all the photos already listed esp. showing the model # on the bottom of the device. The one my family member has was mfg. in 2009 & we're not sure how much longer it & their old style TV have left in them. They understand how to operate this one & before it stops functioning, my elderly family member wanted to have a spare.

Exactly... Today's new technology is not user-friendly (esp. for those who weren't raised up with it) & it's strongly linked to the "planned obsolescence" mindset which is an intentional drain on everyone esp. financially. I was going to get this as a surprise for my elderly family member but they're insistent on paying for it themselves.

My elderly family member asked if there's anyway you can please plug it into an electrical outlet to see if the light on the front of it lights up. From what they explained, a light on the front of it is always on when it's plugged in to the electrical source. I'm merely "the messenger" & am sorry for any inconvenience, Thank you...

You went above & beyond. Thank you. I asked them about the light colors changing when the converter box was turned on & off and they said exactly what you did so this is very good news...And that goes for the remote, too. Bear with me...I'm stuck in the role as "the messenger".

Have not forgotten you. I explained what extra efforts you went through to prove that the converter box is definitely functional.She asked "How much??", I explained the asking price/shipping/tax & she got very quiet & told me she would get back to me.Before we hung up, she said something about these converter boxes being paid for via government vouchers from Obama (2 per household) in 2008/2009.I know she definitely wants to get a spare box but her Soc.Sec. is limited.

@chall6840 No problem at all! Thank you for getting back to me. Yes, my mother mentioned they were able to buy only 2 per household. Just so you are aware, if she wants to buy on a Friday or Sunday, if you "like" the listing by clicking on the little heart until it is red, I can reduce 10% and Poshmark will discount shipping to $4.99, I believe. I hope that might help a bit. :)

Knowing my elderly family member as well as I do, it wouldn't surprise me if she found the receipt for the box she has.Her long term memory is better than her short term & the last thing she said to me tonight was, "I'm certain I bought it at KMart with the voucher & recall only paying sales tax." Thank you for the Google info. I found a voucher website BELOW...It mentioned something about Medicaid which caught my eye since my elderly family member has some sort of Medicaid assistance but of course this government voucher offering "came & went".

My family member still washes out bread bags to reuse; & cable TV is too costly for them to even consider. I called over to them this AM & left msg for them to call me back. I would hate for them to lose the opportunity to get the converter box they need.
About that Fri/Sun Poshmark deal & tapping the heart icon til it turns red...Does that heart have to be tapped ON Fri/Sun just prior to selecting the item?

I personally experienced internet fraud & had my purse stolen while I was in church so I do the absolute minimal online. You can tap the heart now if you would like to or just wait until you are ready to purchase, and then I can just reduce 10% when you are ready on Friday or Sunday (the discounted shipping is only valid for 6 hours after the price reduction). Funny, the bread bags...are you sure you are not talking about my mother?!! Could there really be more than one of them?!! :D :D :D

About the 10% discount & reduced s/h on Fri & Sun that you mentioned, does this apply to only electronics or to anything listed? I'm so leery buying anything "sight unseen" & should have been born in Missouri, the "Show Me" state.

As for reusing plastic bags & cardboard boxes...I think I inherited the family gene for it myself; except I'm highly selective & only "recycle" high quality Ziploc type bags & extremely well-constructed cardboard boxes. I guess I could have pulled in worse genetics than this ;)

@chall6840 Hi! On my end I just see a number next to the heart, showing how many "likers" /people showing an interest in the item at the time. It lets the seller know that they can make an offer to the buyer or reduce the price of the item to make a sale. In order for it to qualify for the reduced shipping Fridays/Sundays, aka "Closet Clear Out" sale, the seller can reduce the item at least 10% for "likers" only and total after the reduction and before tax/shipping has to be $10 or more....

@chall6840 It applies to any item, and if you want more than 1 item, you can ask the seller to bundle them together so that any purchase under 5 lbs would qualify for the reduced shipping.

@chall6840 There is a way for you to "bundle" what you like, but the reduced shipping doesn't qualify for offers that are in process or bundles that the buyer bundled themselves. A little complicated to explain, but easy on my end!

Last but not least, I haven't heard back from my elderly family member yet.I thought I would reach out to you to get a few questions I had answered while "we" waited for their call back.They're under Dr.'s care & had an appt this AM.I believe they had plans to connect w/a church member whose birthday is today. T.Y. for your assistance & patience. Between the 2 of us, I'm pretty sure "we" will get the "thumbs up" to place the order on Friday (but SHE'S "in charge").

@chall6840 There is also a button next to the heart - I think it is a rectangle with a + inside of it... that is for you to "create" a bundle, which also alerts the seller to all of the items that you have "liked" and put in a bundle, so the seller can combine the whole purchase into one shipment and offer a discount on the purchase.

Good morning! Just spoke with my elderly family member, shared with them what you shared with me, & I'll contact you Friday to get the ball rolling on the order for that converter box. She so appreciated being able to get a better price/lower shipping on it. The final concern they have is that it's packed extremely well bc the converter box is old ("like she is", HER words), delivery drivers don't always treat pkgs well, & the converter box's "inside workings" are delicate. T.Y.

The additional reduction in price was very kind of you. My elderly family member & your Mother were probably related in a prior life. The Great Depression impacted many incl. them...Waste not, want not. You can tell a lot about a person by their actions/habits.
