I nearly cried with excitement when I laid eyes on this cape but once I received my order I found that the arms are unfortunately too long for me and don't create the right drape. I bought this from a dealer in Japan and the Japanese material label looks to be added recently for sale in the Japanese market. I used to work in fashion and my Japanese customers were super meticulous with quality inspections and sale of their garments so this checks out for me. I left the label on because it tells a tale of the garments provenance and where it has been during its life. The rest of the tags, the fabric and the shape check out as authentic to me and I consider myself an expert in Missoni. The Met even has a pleated garment on their website that matches the look of this (I've actually recently sold the same wool capris!) Excellent condition.
