Vintage Royal Doulton Cup 1983 Jill Barklem Brambly Hedge Collection Summer

This adorable tea cup from the Royal Doulton Brambly Hedge collection, based on the ever-popular books about tales from the hedgerow, by Jill Barklem. This delightful, full sized, cup is entitled ''Summer,'' and is part of the Four Seasons series. The cup depicts the scene of Miss Poppy Eyebright and Mr Dusty Dogwood, announcing their engagement! Around the edge of the cup is the bramble hedgerow, with pretty pink flowers and blackberries, on a pale green background. The cup has a shiny glazed finish and a pretty scalloped edge. There is a glorious picture on the back of the cup of a scene on the riverbank! The cup is Royal Doulton, English Bone China and were made in 1983. In mint condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or staining. The cup is a 6 fl. oz. capacity and measuring 3" high x 3.5" dia. and the saucer is 5 5/8" dia.
