O M G!!! This Magdalena necklace by VSA is stellar! Literally! The medallion features stars and crescent moons with a beautiful clear crystal in the center. The pink ombré Swarovski crystal beads look amazing against the gunmetal. The Magdalena style necklace is the -#1 selling design for VSA. The four strands look so pretty on the neckline. You can add an extender if you wish to wear it a bit longer or you can take one strand and put it overhead to make it really long (see photo). The medallion is removable for even more styling options. All VSA is handcrafted in San Miguel de Allende Mexico which is rich in artistry and icons. Gorgeous piece but my husband would kill me if I bought any more “stuff” no matter if it’s cowgirl boots or jewelry! I just can’t help it sometimes.

What makes this so expensive? I’ve spent $500 on signed solid silver pieces but not anything like this. Not criticizing, just looking for an education. It’s like those Brighton pieces. Most aren’t silver and they’re so expensive and eventually they’ll turn color or tarnish beyond repair.

@margaret11949 I totally get your question. Firstly, each piece is completely made by hand. The beads here are all Swarovski crystals. I’ve sold VSA for 16 years and prior to 2020, pieces WERE less expensive. After 2020, many designers had price increases due their own costs rising as well. I can’t explain exactly why there was such an increase with VSA, but I do know that they are now produced in limited quantities making them even more desirable and collectible (con’t)

The jewelry is completely timeless and becomes treasures to most who love the line. If I could only sell one jewelry line in my store, it would be VSA. I speak with the designer on Monday. Maybe I will have a better answer for you!

@margaret11949 my response was in two parts 🤪 You can keep high end costume jewelry looking beautiful for years with proper care. I’m guilty of not following my own words sometimes! VSA has a beautiful protective pouch and with a soft cloth to wipe away body oils, etc, they look amazing for a really long time. Some of mine are 15 years old
