This beautiful MCM etching and aquatint is immediately identifiable as an excellent example of the work of Johnny Friedlaender (1(contact info removed)). Friedlaender was a leading 20th-century artist, whose works have been exhibited in Germany, France, Netherlands, Italy, Japan and the United States. He has been influential upon other notable artists, who were students in his Paris gallery. His preferred medium of aquatint etching is a technically difficult artistic process, of which Friedlaender has been a pioneer. The print is beautifully framed (which cost $850 alone). It is signed in the lower right and numbered in the lower left, both in pencil. It is in excellent condition, especially for its age (I would say it’s perfectly preserved with no stains rips or fading).
