In East Africa, the kanzu is the traditional dress worn by Swahili-speaking men. Women wear the kanga and the gomesi. In Southern Africa, distinctive shirts are worn, like the long dresses they wear. For instance, South Africa is known for the Madiba shirt, whereas Zimbabwe is known for the safari shirt. I am not sure from which African country these patterns are from, but they are very beautiful. I have duplicate skirts, but in different styles, and receive many compliments on the color and patterns. This is a knockout in the fashion community. You will love it! Beautiful radiant and Brand new, never worn, except for picture purposes. Stretchy material. Waist measurements for both skirts are 15” (unstretched) and 22” (stretched). My waist line is approx 42” and they fit just fine :)
