Outstanding high grade turquoise necklace

This 20" strand of graduated all-natural, untreated Fox turquoise (Nevada mine), has polished nuggets ranging from 5 mm to 10mm in baroque, natural shapes. The Fox turquoise is of various green hues, forest green to almost an emerald hue at times. Throughout, you can see the matrix (background mountain rhyolite) in which the turquoise formed. The show stopper for this necklace is the amazing design and range of colors in the large 30mm focal stone, cut from rough Kingman turquoise that has been stabilized. This stone is like nothing I have seen before or since, with feathery black dendrites ranging across a sea of turquoise blue along with little "continents" of earth tones and pale creams. It is spectacular. Astride this focal piece are two triangular-shaped stones of all-natural, untreated Royston turquoise (Nevada mine). I cut all three stones and can attest to their provenance. The nugget beads I purchased directly from Sunwest in Albequerque, the world's premier authority on American turquoise. I hand-fabricated beautiful bordered sterling silver settings for the three focal stones, which have hidden bails and are spaced apart by handmade 5mm sterling silver bench beads. The tips of the necklace are handmade sterling hook-and-loop closure with sterling spacer beads 3mm in diameter.
