2italy Could you also post a photo of the threading? When you say external threading, you mean the threading is on the post, not the actual frontal, correct?

msversatility @2italy sorry didn’t see this dealing with my toddlers range of emotions today- good catch, I made a mistake. it’s internally threaded. Meaning the threading is on the inside of the post, and the outside scroll piece has screw on the back of it to match. Hope this helps
