Beautiful condition for a vintage Louis Vuitton.
Date code: 863
According to Google, date code 863 indicates this bag was MADE IN FRANCE
Manufactured March 1986
I have the lock and 1 key. #301. As pictured.
I had the handles and zipper pull replaced by Louis Vuitton. This is why they are a different color than the piping.
I do not have the LV dustbag. Will be shipped in a Henri Bendel dustbag.
Piping is still in tact. Small stains inside. No stickiness whatsoever.
AUTHENTIC and will also be authenticated by Poshmark

@joss1971 Hello. Considering this is an extremely vintage production, I do not see the FC or SA on the tab. It might have not been included or it rubbed off. It only shows 863 as pictured.

@305keepitlive I know the 2nd number represents the month and the 1st and 3rd numbers represent the year, so supposedly this was made June 1983. Since you had the handles and zipper pull replaced at LV, can you please post the receipt for the work.

@joss1971 Sorry. I'm not digging thru paperwork look for an old receipt from LV. Upon zooming into the handles, it is evidenced that this type of craftsmanship can only be reproduced by LV.

@joss1971 low and behold I did the digging and found my original receipt from Louis Vuitton. The replacements were not performed by a cobbler and were replaced by LV.

@joss1971 Actually, until the late 1980s, the first two numbers are the year and the third number is the month so this bag was manufactured in March of 1986.
