Genuine antique Mercury Glass Christmas Garland from my grandparents' 1920s ornament collection. Because Mercury Glass is not shatterproof, the original garlands (one garland in each shade of green) have lost some length over the decades, so this pack includes a two-foot strand and a 3.5-foot strand. Judging from the age of these ornaments, they were probably made in Czechoslowakia (where Mercury Glass was invented in 1840). Also included are five antique painted glass ornaments, each about 4 inches long (see photos). Small changes make a big difference!
