Vintage Ralph Lauren beaded necklace with 14k gold plating, glass Amazonite style glass beads, enameled beads, turquoise beads, and a signed toggle clasp. A seller on Etsy has the same necklace priced at $500. They informed me they had a certified gemological appraisal done on theirs that verified the turquoise beads were genuine - however, I have not verified that mine are. I reached out to Ralph Lauren to ask, and they told me that unfortunately since the item is vintage they had limited information still in their system. They first wrote, “We've confirmed that this beautiful Vintage Ralph Lauren Necklace is made of Turquoise and Amazonite Glass Beads,” but then when I asked if that meant the turquoise was genuine or if it was also made of glass, Ralph Lauren said they weren’t sure. Regardless of what it’s made of, it’s truly beautiful on and in fantastic shape for being vintage - there’s some minor wear on it, but it looks as though it could be contemporary just given the condition. And the enamel beads remind me of a bead Maison Gripoix made for Chanel in the 1960s, which is a fun touch.
