These magnifying spring loaded glasses would be from between the Victorian era to early Art Deco period. I’ve lovingly owned them for over 30 years. As a collector, they’ve been kept safe from scratches in a velvet pouch, but there can be a few light scratches due to age and use. They are marked 835 as seen through my loupe. This is on the center nose piece. The chain is marked Sterling on the clasp. This is a lariat chain that is a 28” link + 4” end. It hangs nearly to the naval on a 5’6” person. It can be worn as is, or or kept in a breast pocket. All hinges and latches work. It is a beautiful piece of marcasite decorative and useful jewelry. The magnification is unknown; most opera glasses were around 3x.
