I launder all our bamboo clothing in tap cold water with an extra rinse... we use Kirkland original detergent with downy softener (dont use a lot, less than a regular load) I dry in the dryer on low with wool dryer balls. Everything has stayed soft and minimal to no fading or piling (some prints fade/pill no matter what). No fabric shaver has ever been used.
