78"x60" Syrian Aghabani embroidered tablecloth with stitching in white and gold silken threads on dark green cotton. 8 embroidered cloth napkins 14"x14". Excellent vintage condition (1990s), NWOT, unused, unwashed, no damage, no stains. Aghabani tablecloths are first hand stamped by woodblock printers to create the design, repeatedly stamping the patterns to cover first the center, then the middle, and finally the corners of the fabric using various sized and patterned blocks. Then they are finished using special machines which are hand-guided for the intricate designs using chainstitch.
