Mikasa Compote This was my mother in law’s, I do not recall ever seeing this displayed or used at her home. It’s a very pretty piece and would look nice on your table if you’re entertaining for Christmas or any special occasion. The footed bowl is designed to hold special desserts, fruits, candies or sauces, jellies and other foods. *please see pic where I’ve held it up to the light, over time and perhaps the way it was stored or could even be a manufacturers defect, the middle where the pedestal attaches to the bowl has yellowed and also has air bubbles. I’m thinking you could use a doily if you wanted to hide it or whatever food or candy you put on it would most likely hide the defect. H - 4” W- 6.5”
