stacy_gaines @catrinatel hi! 😊 yes, it uses a battery. it keeps time just fine and there's a chime that goes off on the hour. I believe you can change the settings but I did not play around with it to much.

catrinatel @stacy_gaines Thanks for the info. Going on vacation soon so can’t order until someone will be here to receive. No rush but could you check to see if the chime can be turned off for sure. Also does it have loud ticking? I wanted it for the bedroom. Thanks for the nice offer.
