Canco Large Vintage Tin - Palace of Fine Arts on Lid & Sides

Canco Large Vintage Tin Collectible Piece Early 20th Century Beautiful Tin Box possibly from the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition in San Francisco. Art Nouveau Style Lid depicts the Palace of Fine Arts & its Reflecting Pool in San Francisco. Interesting fact is that this site was spared in the San Francisco Earthquake & subsequent Fire. The Lid has a puffed appearance as two pieces of metal are joined but not Flat against each other. No Dents. Approximately 11” x 7 1/2” x 3 3/4”. Very Good Condition for its age. Slight Rusting on edges Inside has most of its Original Gold Finish. Faint Stain at Back of Top & Down Back Panel & another on left side of top. Please see photos. Hinge Works Well & Box Closes Easily however the Front Edge of the Lid sits Slightly Ajar (1/8”). Very Lovely Piece for Display or to hold Special Trinkets.
