How many years old is the coat and are there any stains or tears not shown in photos? What would you consider the condition of the coat?

@sassafrassj1 Hello. Yes, it can go into its own pocket. I can take photos of that tomorrow. There are no stains or rips. If you look at my sales, you will see all the colors I have owned. I like the fit of XL better on me now.

@sassafrassj1 I generally have a few colors of these at a time and wore them lightly to drive my kid to school or pick up from skiing. I love purple and blue so when a new color comes out, I try to buy a new one and just started selling my size large ones. I also feel like Patagonia occasionally can run narrow even if the cut says regular. I returned several fleece this winter and the store told me that they’d had several returns of the same fleece.

@artdecofanlight Hi, I am hesitating on purchasing the coat as I do not know how worn it is and as you mention the Patagonia women's fit can be off sometimes with narrowness. I can buy a brand new one on sale for about $170, so am hesitating on it not being the latest technology, undetermined fit and actual wear. Also there is shipping costs and really no guarantee if the item doesn't fit. It is quite a beautiful purple. I feel like Patagonia needs more flavor in their choice of colors lately.

I am hiking the Inca trail in Peru in August and just need a reliable lightweight coat that I can stow away. Just want to make sure the coat isn't all washed and worn out and the down compromised from washes and wear, etc.

@sassafrassj1 Hello. The jacket does not show any signs of wear/tear or seem worn out. If this means anything, it was actually very difficult to stuff into the pocket because it is very fluffy and has not lost any feathers. The purple is beautiful and that is why I did not list it when I posted the others. I don’t know if you want to buy the new one from Patagonia and then return it if you don’t love it and buy mine? I could discount the shipping? It’s the only jacket I buy for my family.

@sassafrassj1 I have 2 Patagonia stores near me and also 2 REI stores so there are some deals sometimes. There are online only deals, too I had house repairs going on today and I took more photos of the jacket not in the app so I can retake them tomorrow. I think it’s the only store I trust in the guarantee!

Hi! I just read your post about the Inca Trail! Wow! This jacket has only made it to Whole Foods and Stop and Shop! 😅 I guess it made it to the tiniest ski hill possible as part of my town parks and rec.
