Dating to the late 1880s/1890s or so, may I offer this 14K Rose Gold (tested, not marked) engagement ring - sweetheart ring - fashion ring featuring a top design of 2mm faceted round pink/red quartz (tested) acting as a halo around a 4.5mm moonstone cab. The "florette" design on the top measures 3/8" high/wide; ring size is a 5 on my sizer. Weight is 2 grams. There's a lovely bit of repousse work to either side of the center design. The inside shank of the ring is unmarked for gold which was not a requirement to do until the federal Stamping Act of 1906 however, the inside of the ring is designer signed - HM conjoined within a stylized buttercup round. Very fine condition with no problems I can spot. Just too cute!
