Edward Hopper’s 1929 “Railroad Sunset” was painted from memory after Hopper took a transcontinental train trip. The scene depicts a dramatic sunset over train tracks, and you can imagine the artist glimpsing this moment out of the train’s window somewhere deep in the Midwest. These 100% cotton pjs were inspired by this painting owned by The Whitney Museum in New York City. The pattern on these is heavily influenced by the painting, a deeply hued gradient of bold colors in full technicolor. Top buttons up the front, with a handy pocket over the left breast. The pants have an elastic waist with a drawstring for the perfect fit. Plus 2 deep pockets! Both the top and the pants have black piping around outer edges.
