Fabulous Fifties Jo-O-Kay Beaded Leather Jacket

A fabulous 1950's vintage white leather western style fringe jacket by Jo-O-Kay Corral Sportswear Co. of Ardmore, Oklahoma. This wonderful western style jacket features whimsical beadwork in lucky horseshoes, cactus and flower motif. In excellent vintage condition. The only notable flaws are wear on the lower two buttons and minor fading of the lining. A lovely piece in great condition! The original owner wore it but it was a cherished special occasion jacket. Labeled size 14 (vintage sizing, Marilyn Monroe wore a size 14 back in the day). Small/medium by modern standard. 36" bust, 29" waist and 27 1/2" in length including the fringe. Jo-O-Kay was founded by John and Kay Simpler (the Jo & Kay in Jo-O-Kay) in Ardmore, Oklahoma in the 1950's. The company specialized in handmade and hand tooled leather goods and had but 96 employees. These included pattern makers, cutters, finishers, line girls and a shipping department of two. These pieces were not mass produced. PRICE IS FIRM
