1950s Merry Widow Corset Cinch, Support and Accentuate: you can have it all with our 1950s Merry Widow Corset. It’s designed to cinch your waist, support your breasts and hold up your stockings. Merry Widow basques were originally designed by Warners and throughout the 1950s the Merry Widow was the lingerie item of choice when it came to strapless and off-the-shoulder dresses. Our Glamour Merry Widow combines traditional vintage features, such as an internal elastic waist tape to cinch and spiral steel boning, alongside a few little improvements. Both the shoulder and 6 metal clip suspenders are detachable to make them extremely versatile. Plus, our Merry Widow has a front hook and eye fastening which makes it a lot easier than the original to put on. Our Glamour Merry Widow Corset is primarily sized by bra size but your body measurements need to be considered too which means you might need to sister size. Bra sizes roughly co-ordinate with the following WKD dress sizes: Band Size UK Dress Size US Dress Size 36 Band UK 14 US 10 The length of our Merry Widow is approximately 9.5” / 24 cm long from the bottom of the cup (underbust) to bottom and 14” / 35.5 cm long at the back-centre. The satin is 100% polyester while the powermesh wings are 88% polyamide, 12% spandex. The bottom half of the cups are lined with 3mm foam. Our Glamour lingerie is made ethically in our main factory in India.
