Used for one summer while my shepherd was a puppy only had to shock him two or three times at the dog park and he would scream in pain every time so I stopped using it 😭 there is a dial to select the level of shock so I would test it out on yourself first to see how much it actually hurts I recommend this for emergencies only (ie to stop a dog fight from starting at the park) not for regular use because I think positive reinforcement is more effective for training purposes
