Braid is both aesthetic and functional as the pressure of the strap is put on the braid rather than the rivets. Chestnut color. About 1/4” thick 10-12oz leather. This strap has been treated and may lighten up a little but will patina well. Water resistant leather that is often used for equestrian use.
