Like new, was only displayed on a shelf and not played or used otherwise. Beautiful designed hourglasses can match most modern or vintage decor for home, kitchen, office or other. Wooden frame makes the sand timer look elegant & classy. When I timed, was approximately 30 minutes. Removable and adjustable for tightening if needed. I have NOT tried, but may be able to remove from base for a beautiful single hourglass.
