What a great cardigan. As if pure cashmere from Hermes were not iconic enough this one has the Brides de Gala design on it. Created by Hugo Grygkar in 1957 it is said that he saw two dress bridles on the ground together and was impressed by the balance of them. 100% pure soft cashmere is ribbed at the neck, the cuffs and the bottom. A black and white crew neck the horn buttons are very much in place as a closure. This was pretty much a sell out right away. The black & white is the most sought after model. Currently there are two for sale on eBay, one for $950 and one for $1200. The chest is 21” across and the length from shoulder to hem is 25”. This is an investment piece so be careful not to wear jewelry which may pull or get tangled in the cashmere fibers. Store flat when not wearing. Never worn. Extra horn button attached. Excellent condition.
