This rare vintage Bonnie Cashin for Sills Purse Pocket swing coat is a treasure! 53 years old (1970) in still in very good used condition. Please read the description fully and review all images because there are some flaws and it is being sold AS IS. Color: Brown Size: Marked 8 but fits like a 6 Approx Measurements Shoulder to shoulder 17” Pit to pit 21” (42) Waist 22.5 (45)” Sleeve 20.5” Length shoulder to hem 36 - Bonnie Cashin for SILLS tag on inner R - Size tag (8) in outer slip pocket - Purse Pocket on R & regular pocket on L - Fully lined in Faux Fur - Canvas Outer - Leather Trim, collar & purse pocket - Brass Turn Lock Hardware (4 down front & 1 on purse pocket) Signs of Use (small flaws) See Last Images for close ups - Light fading, soiling on canvas and small nicks on leather trim. - One very small hole on underside R sleeve (see pic) - Light wear (a little fraying) on canvas around each turn lock. All attached well & not loose (see close up photos). Light wear to the canvas fabric on the edge of the slip pocket. No holes just worn from age & use. - No odors (smoke free home). - This coat has not been recently dry cleaned but the leather has been conditioned with Leather CPR and the brass has been polished with a cloth. History: This style is a “purse pocket” coat and started when Bonnie Cashin was going to sketch at the Hollywood hills sign and couldn’t carry all of her things, she decided to sew her purse onto her coat! Then was born “the purse pocket”.
